The Good Design Group
at a Glance
Principled in practice, we’re all for intentional interiors that seamlessly meld yin and yang — grounding creative aesthetics with technical design for calm surroundings that centre us. Here, strategy is the medium and story is the method — with your vision at the heart of it all.

Founder and Principal Designer, Paige Johnston owns an alternative take to
interiors. Blending art and science, her background is bolstered by credentials in strategic space planning and design from esteemed institutions. Spanning New York City, Toronto and Calgary, Paige boasts a distinctive portfolio of residential and commercial projects, with a soft spot for helping hospitality leaders and restaurateurs design and define spaces people love to be in.
Leaning on curiosity and an open-minded outlook, we let your view reign and dial it all in with a methodical and evidence-informed approach.
As an extension of your team, we’ll co-create with clarity — thoughtfully considering how a floor plan ebbs and flows energy, cultivates connection and optimizes the experience for the right kind of outcomes. Then, the trimmings. It’s taking your conscientiously constructed space and sprinkling in soul with greenery, décor and the best of the rest.
It’s our belief that good design has the power to influence. When space is marked by how we interact within, it becomes human-centred — and it’s these environments built for us that bear balance, creating ease in our everyday. With this, we gain a newfound steadiness of self. It’s a chance to be better, by design.
